Yayladağ Latakia Flake was released as Tabac Turc's latakia-containing product. According to records, the blend is not a new recipe but a remake faithful to a formerly produced latakia mixture, with the original recipe's roughly 24 percent latakia content reduced in this product to a 10-15 percent range. Its content includes Yayladağı, Bitlis, and İzmir leaf along with latakia and cavendish, with honey, molasses, maple syrup, and rum casing. It comes as flake slices and is more vividly colored than other Yayladağ products, with yellow, red, dark brown, and black leaves distinguishable.

Opening the pack, a smoky note and a distinct alcohol sharpness mix into the classic Yayladağ aroma. Being moist, it needs airing, tends to go out after the first light, and settles into an even burn after a few relights. Because the latakia content is kept low, the smoky taste doesn't dominate; Turkish tobacco's spicy, nose-tingling character is what defines it, with latakia running underneath and strengthening toward the bottom of the bowl.
