Yayladağ Vişneli

Yayladağ Vişneli (Cherry) is one of Tabac Turc's fruit-flavored domestic blends. According to records, its composition is roughly 40 percent Yayladağı, 24 percent Bitlis, 12 percent İzmir, and 24 percent imported smoky tobacco; the casing and flavoring elements include cherry, honey, molasses, maple, rum, and trace amounts of latakia and cavendish. It is packed as broken flake, moist. On first opening the pack, a sharp fruity scent reminiscent of fermentation is noticeable; airing is needed to let this dissipate.

Despite its moist state, it lights easily and leaves fine white ash. The blend has a high proportion of woody stem and needs picking over before packing. On the smoke, a bitterish spice taste stands out; the earthy aftertaste typical of Türk Pipo Tütünü and other Yayladağ products is also present here. It is light in nicotine and medium in taste. It is a blend for those wanting to try flavored domestic tobaccos and the combination of Oriental leaf with fruit casing.
