50th Anniversary

50th Anniversary is a limited, boxed Virginia-perique blend prepared by The Country Squire tobacconist in Jackson, Mississippi to mark its fiftieth year. Well-aged, high-quality Virginia leaves are combined with peppery St. James perique, and the mixture is pressed and sliced into cake form.

On the smoke, tangy citrus, dried dark fruit, bread, and hay notes from the mature Virginia lead the way; the perique adds a tingling spice along with plum and raisin sweetness. Body and nicotine sit at a full level, so it suits smokers already used to hearty Virginia blends. As an anniversary release, it is not in continuous production.
