M/M Log Cabin

M/M Log Cabin is a house blend Mike and Meaghan Hulsey, who run The Story Teller's Pipe tobacconist, prepared to recreate the old Log Cabin blend. Per the maker's description, quality Burley leaves are joined by flue-cured, red, golden and stoved Virginias, with a pinch of black Cavendish added to round out the balance; it is cased with maple syrup flavor.

It is a Burley-forward aromatic: the natural sweetness of maple syrup is felt on lighting, and after a quarter of the bowl the taste settles into an earthy, walnut-like base, with a light spice trace running through to the end. Suited to smokers after an aromatic that carries the tobacco's own taste rather than a syrupy casing, and to those who enjoy Burley's dry nuttiness. It is ribbon cut and sold loose.
