Irish Meadows

Irish Meadows is the unflavored Virginia blend from The Story Teller's Pipe tobacconist. Per the maker's description, bright, red, stoved and fermented Virginia leaves are brought together; the side-by-side use of different processing methods gives the blend a broader flavor range than a single Virginia type would.

Sweet, ripe, cooked-fruit notes and spice traces come forward in the taste, turning toward salty bread and a light floral base as the bowl progresses. Strength and flavor are moderate; it is noted as burning cool and clean, with the taste staying consistent throughout. Suited to smokers wanting to smoke unflavored Virginia but after a layered profile rather than one-dimensional sweetness. A version of the same blend with Louisiana Perique added, called IMP, also appears on the shop's list.
