Hollandia was a blend the Groningen-based Theodorus Niemeyer house produced in its Dutch-style aromatic Cavendish line. Woody, earthy, nutty Burley forms the body, joined by Kentucky and Cavendish-processed Virginia, with a small amount of Oriental leaf reportedly also present. The top note is described as a dark, sugary casing evoking Dutch liqueurs.
The taste is not intense but measured; the casing sits in the background without overpowering the leaf, and the smoke is medium-bodied. A typical example for smokers wanting to get to know classic Continental European shop aromatics and after a blend without exaggerated sweetness. The Niemeyer brand today sits under Imperial Tobacco, and production under this name has not continued.
