Sweet & Mellow

Sweet & Mellow is the aromatic member of the tobacco line bearing the name of Danish pipe maker Tom Eltang. The series was developed according to Eltang's own palate preferences together with American maker Cornell & Diehl and produced in North Carolina; the brand's identity, however, rests on the Danish pipe tradition.

In the blend, black Cavendish joins Burley and Virginia leaves in a ribbon cut. On opening the jar there is a sweet aroma leaning toward fermented apple and raisin; on the smoke, notes evoking chocolate and maple syrup come forward. Nicotine is moderate and the burn is cool; aimed at those who steer away from heavy syrupy aromatics but still want a sweet everyday smoke that doesn't fully mask the tobacco's natural taste.
