Tom Eltang Virginia is the unflavored member of the series Danish pipe maker Tom Eltang developed together with Cornell & Diehl. Red and bright Virginia leaves form the backbone of the blend; a small amount of Burley is added for a cool smoke. It is ribbon cut, which makes packing and lighting easier.

Virginia's natural sugar and grassy sweetness stay in front, while the Burley broadens the taste and slows the burn. According to sources, no sour or vinegary turn appears even near the bottom of the bowl, and tongue bite is limited. The series was designed with smokers in mind who want a plain tobacco that can be smoked all day; it is also a fitting starting point for those new to the world of unflavored Virginia.
