Torben Dansk Louisiana Perique U.S.A is a single-varietal blending component consisting of Perique leaf fermented under pressure in Louisiana's St. James region. Perique is described as the leaf that gives blends a pronounced spice and black-pepper sharpness; it also carries dried-fruit notes.

Nicotine and flavor intensity are very high, so it is generally used at proportions not exceeding ten percent in blends. Suited to experienced home blenders wanting to sharpen their Virginia-forward mixtures.
