TAB 150 is the jubilee blend Vauen released in 1998 for the 150th anniversary of the company founded in 1848, and it has remained in production as one of the brand's founding tobaccos. The composition balances Virginia, Kentucky and Louisiana-origin leaf with black Cavendish, with some Perique added; curly-cut and flake pieces are used together.
The varied cuts keep the burn cool and even. The flavoring leans toward tropical fruit and a light citrus note, kept at a level that doesn't overpower; thanks to the Perique and Kentucky, the body rises above that of pure aromatics. Suited to smokers seeking a middle ground between aromatic and unflavored tobacco.
