Executive is among the shop-specific blends from W. Curtis Draper, founded in 1887 and considered one of Washington's oldest tobacconists. Its structure is simple: an unflavored English mixture built by adding a generous amount of Latakia over Virginia leaves.

Keeping the Latakia ratio high pulls the blend toward a smoky, woody, salty side; Virginia underneath leaves a measured sweetness and sugar foundation. Since it contains no flavoring, the taste comes entirely from the leaf itself.
