Selected Blend No. 20 Broad Cut

W.Ø. Larsen Selected Blend No. 20 is the broad-cut member of the brand's numbered Selected Blend series. Fully matured Virginia leaves build the blend's body; roasted black cavendish and a small amount of Latakia are added. The cut is kept broad, similar to No. 50, but this version has a higher share of dark leaves. The series generally uses leaves of Malawian, Brazilian, and Mexican origin.

The Latakia amount isn't enough to make the blend an English mixture; it only leaves a lightly smoky, spicy line over the Virginia sweetness. Nicotine stays below medium, and the flavor is rounded out by the cavendish. It suits those seeking an unflavored or very lightly cased, Virginia-forward tobacco that isn't entirely plain; because of the broad cut, the leaves need to be rubbed out a bit before packing.
