Curly Block

Curly Block is the member of the Wessex series produced using the rope technique and pressed into a block. In the English tobacco tradition, rope/roll tobaccos are made by twisting leaf and holding it under pressure for a long time; when sliced, curled medallions emerge. Virginia builds the blend's body, while Perique adds a tart-spicy depth.

Since the pressing process concentrates the sugars, the smoke carries a dark-fruit, tart, full character. Nicotine sits on the medium-to-high side; rubbing out and airing the medallions matters for the burn. It suits people accustomed to rope tobaccos and Virginia-Perique balance who are used to slow smoking.
