English Mixture

English Mixture is the blend in the Wessex series that most directly corresponds to the classic English mixture definition. It's offered in ribbon cut and follows the traditional scheme of Latakia and Oriental leaf set atop a Virginia foundation; no flavoring casing is used.

In the smoke, wood soot leads, behind which sits the Oriental's dry, spicy tone and a measured sweetness from the Virginia. The Latakia ratio stays more measured than in Balkan-style blends, placing this blend at a middle point suitable for all-day smoking. It suits those new to smoky mixtures and those seeking an unflavored English blend.
