Sovereign Curly Cut (Brigade)

Sovereign Curly Cut is the Virginia-Perique blend in Wessex's Brigade series. It's presented in a coin (curly cut) preparation; on opening the tin, part is in curled disc form and part is loose. The moisture level is directly suited to filling, and the tobacco gives off a light fruity scent.

A cider casing is applied to the blend; this casing leaves a distinct sharpness and burning sensation in the mouth during the first third of the smoke. Once this alcohol-driven effect burns off, Virginia's sweetness and Perique's spicy tartness come forward in the smoke, and the blend gains a satisfying body. It suits smokers familiar with coin-cut preparation and cased Virginia-Perique structure who can tolerate the sharpness in the first third.
