Belmont

Belmont comes from Wilke Pipe Tobacco's tradition of preparing private blends for retailers; according to the records, it was produced specifically for Abercrombie and Fitch stores. This type of shop blend was a common practice in 20th-century American tobacco retailing, and Wilke has carried a number of them into the present.

Structurally Tennessee-cut Burley forms the base; Virginia adds balance and sweetness, topped with Latakia and black cavendish. The Latakia amount isn't enough to turn the blend into an English mixture; it mainly adds a light smoky layer to Burley's nutty body. Cavendish, meanwhile, provides a creamy sweetness that softens the harder edges. It suits smokers seeking an American-style, moderately smoky, essentially unflavored everyday blend.
