Wilke No. 515 Double Shot

Wilke No. 515 Double Shot is a more heavily cased version of 515, the brand's best-known blend. The base blend rests on ribbon-cut Virginia leaf and Wilke's own roasted black cavendish, flavored with Jamaican rum; the name Double Shot comes from giving the same blend a double dose of rum. As a result, the rum note stands out clearly in the smoke, while the tobacco's own flavor recedes somewhat.

According to Wilke's records, 515 was among the blends smoked by actor Basil Rathbone during the shop's New York era, and it is considered the brand's signature. The Double Shot version offers a mild-nicotine, slow-burning smoke with pronounced sweetness; it is aimed at smokers who favor liqueur-style aromatics or who find 515 itself not intense enough.
