The brand name comes from the makers' initials: AR (Angelo Rovera) and DOR (Dorelio Rovera). The two-dot "Venere" stamp marks the top grade of production; records indicate only one in every 250-300 pipes carries this stamp. See also Fe-Ro ("Figli di Federico Rovera"), Rovera, and Roverart.
