Britt's Balkan

Britt's Balkan is 4noggins' take on the Balkan style. The dominant note comes from Oriental leaves, accompanied by a notable proportion of Latakia, Turkish tobacco, and a base of red, bright, and flake Virginias. Records indicate the blend's creator, Rich Gottlieb, took inspiration from Sam Gawith's Perfection and added a very small amount of vanilla to round out the smoke.

Given the weight of Oriental and the Latakia ratio, flavor intensity runs high, while the sweetener contribution is barely perceptible — the blend isn't considered an aromatic. It suits experienced smokers seeking the true Balkan structure, where Latakia stays in the shadow of the Oriental leaf.
