Its backbone is built from stoved Virginia leaves and Burley, with a small amount of Cyprus Latakia, Turkish tobacco, and St. James Parish Perique added. As the name suggests, the dominant character is Burley's nutty, lightly molasses-like tone; Perique here leans more toward a raisin-like sweetness than a peppery bite, while the Latakia and Oriental only draw a thin frame around the blend.
