B.S. Flake (Brown Sugar Flake)

B.S. Flake is a Virginia flake prepared through collaboration between Samuel Gawith and the Danish Pipe Shop in Denmark. Matured Virginia leaves are compressed in a hot press together with unflavored cavendish; the blend also contains a small amount of burley and Oriental leaf.

The hot press caramelizes Virginia's own sugar, producing a dark-colored, full-bodied flake with pronounced natural sweetness. Nicotine is, according to records, medium. Suited to smokers accustomed to packing flake who seek unflavored or lightly cased, pressed Virginia character.
