Black XX Twist (Rope) is an unflavored Kendal product produced by twisting dark Virginia leaf into rope form. Thin coins cut from the rope are packed into the pipe after airing; the burn is finicky and requires a very slow smoke.

Nicotine level is, according to records, very high; by contrast the smoke is cool, intense, and the tobacco flavor full. A few coin-loads are enough in small-chambered pipes. Suited to experienced smokers accustomed to high-nicotine, unflavored, rope-cut tobaccos.
