Directory of Mexican Pipe Brands gathers, in alphabetical order, pipe brands manufactured in Mexico or named and distributed for the Mexican market. The three names on record represent three distinct ways of working: a domestic manufactory, a distributor that markets imported pipes under its own name, and a one-person workshop. The entries below are limited to the facts on record; a detailed production history is not available for every brand.

Brands

  • Norma de México S.A. — A manufactory producing aromatic pipe tobacco alongside briar pipes in various shapes. Its products are distributed nationwide through the Sanborns store chain and small tobacconists. Production runs not under a single name but through a range of sub-brands, among them Baritone, Lord Eden, Chadwick, Del Ray, London Dock, Coronet, Farbest, Belfast, Grayson, English Darby, Clifton, Whitehall, and Denby. Of these, Whitehall is an unrelated, separate use of a name also used at different times by British and American manufacturers. In 2015 the firm released a line imitating Dr. Grabow pipes, and for many years also made pipes bearing the name Savinelli. Although it registered the name for itself in Mexico, these products were not made with the Italian manufacturer's permission; the only thing they share with genuine Savinelli pipes is the name.

  • Park Lane — This name is used on pipes released by Tabasa, the distributor of Santa Clara cigars and the group's other brands. Part of the range is briar, part rosewood. The rosewood models are not made by Tabasa; they are Chang Feng pipes made in China and sold under the Park Lane name.

  • Rafa Salinas — The name of a craftsman working in Mexico City. He began making pipes in 2014, preparing the bulk of his output on commission, alongside a few pieces of his own design. No recorded detail exists about the scale of the workshop's production or the materials it uses.
