Ross Arundel
The name Peter Ross, a tobacconist in the town of Arundel in Sussex, gave to the briar pipes he sold by mail; the bodies were made largely at the Orlik workshop in London.
Rossi
An Italian pipe factory founded in 1886, which grew up in Barasso in the province of Varese. It was considered the world's largest producer between the two world wars, turning out tens of thousands of pipes a day, and closed in the mid-1980s.
Roush (Larry Roush)
American maker Larry Roush's handmade briar pipes bearing his own name, produced in Ohio and known for silver and gold work from a jeweler's hand.
Rovera
A family name born near Varese in 1911 with four brothers, one of the longest-running lineages in Italian pipemaking; the Ardor and Fe-Ro brands both trace back to this root.
