A.M. Pipe

A.M. Pipe is one of the light English mixtures McClelland sold in bulk. Its name and character connect to the tradition of classic light Latakia blends designed for a morning smoke; records indicate it was offered as a counterpart to Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe.

Its contents hold a Virginia body, a measured amount of Latakia, and Oriental tobacco. Since the Latakia proportion is kept low, the smoky side doesn't overwhelm the Virginia's sweetness; the ribbon cut allows easy packing and even burning. Staying in the light-to-medium band for both nicotine and flavor, it's a suitable option for those new to Latakia blends or who don't want a heavy smoke during the day. Discontinued when McClelland closed.
