Amiel is a brand founded in the city of Philippeville in French colonial Algeria, considered the country's first pipe factory. It processed Algerian briar locally to produce pipes close to the Saint-Claude school.

An Italian workshop founded in Caltanissetta by Salvatore "Totò" Amorelli, working exclusively with Sicilian briar and known for the gold band set between the shank and the mouthpiece.
